Mild acne is limited mainly to whiteheads and blackheads. In this case lesions cover only small areas of the face or body, but with the appropriate treatment and a constant preventive skincare, you can obtain a long-term control. Sometimes mild acne appears as an allergic reaction to the use of certain cosmetic products and in this case all you need to do is change the allergenic product. For people with mild acne the regular use of a gentle cleanser and a mild moisturiser may be all that is necessary as treatment. Always look for products for your particular skin type. Avoid oily cosmetis and the ones with to many artificial ingredients, wich may only irritate your skin and clog your pores.
If this is not enough, you can look for products that contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. They are available without prescription at any pharmacy and they can help you clear the existing pimples and prevent new ones from forming. More about topical treatments in a future article.
